Privacy policy

This policy explains what the Hardin Valley Business and Community Alliance ("HVBCA", "we") collects on hvbca.org and how we use it. Last updated October 28, 2026.

What we collect

When you apply, renew or update your membership, we collect your name, email, phone, Hardin Valley connection, committee interest and, for businesses, the listing details and logo you choose to share. When you use the contact or spotlight forms, we collect what you type.

What the public directory shows

The directory shows only approved, current members who chose to be listed. For businesses it shows the business name, contact name, logo, description, business email, business phone, website and business address you provide. For community members it shows your name only. Your personal email and phone are never published. You can change or hide your listing anytime by signing in.

Payments

Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. If you choose automatic renewal, Stripe charges your card each January until you turn it off. Check payments are recorded by the treasurer.

Email

We email you to sign in and to confirm your application and payments. We do not sell or share your information. Form messages are delivered to our board through a form service.

Site visit statistics

We use Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are and what device they use. Google Analytics also notes whether someone sends a form, signs up, pays dues or taps a phone number. Neither one receives anything you type into a form. Google Analytics doesn't run in the board admin, and in member accounts it only notes that a dues payment went through. Cloudflare Web Analytics sets no cookies. We use both only to see how the site is doing.

Cookies

We set one cookie when you sign in to your member account, so the site remembers you. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to tell repeat visits from new ones. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your choices

To see, correct or delete your information, sign in or email info@hvbca.org. We keep payment records as long as needed for our books.
