HVBCA is a volunteer-run alliance in Knoxville, Tennessee (37932). We meet for lunch on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, 12–1 pm, at Hardin Valley Church of Christ, and we host community events like Team Up to Clean Up and Light Up the Valley.

What does HVBCA do?

The bylaws give HVBCA three purposes: promote community and business relationships, aid in community building, and enjoy fellowship as members. Here is what that looks like in practice.

Monthly lunch meetings

Every month a member business sponsors lunch and a guest speaker shares what is happening in Hardin Valley. Recent speakers include Pellissippi State president Dr. Anthony Wise, the Small Business Development Center and a Knox County mayoral candidate forum.

How do I become a member?

Membership is for people who live or do business in Hardin Valley. Apply online in about five minutes, pay by card or bring a check to the next meeting, and you will be listed in the directory once your dues are in.

Here in Hardin Valley, we don't have a community identity yet.

That is why HVBCA started. Hardin Valley has grown to more than 25,000 residents in ZIP code 37932 (US Census ACS 2020–2024 (opens in a new tab)), and it has no town hall of its own. HVBCA gives neighbors and local businesses one place to meet, share news and get things done.

When and where does HVBCA meet?

On the 3rd Wednesday of every month, 12–1 pm, at Hardin Valley Church of Christ, 11515 Hardin Valley Rd, Knoxville, TN 37932. Lunch is provided by that month's business sponsor.

Can I visit before I join?

Yes. Your first two visits are free. Check the events calendar for the next meeting and speaker.

How much does membership cost?

Individual membership is $50 a year, two-person membership is $100, and corporate membership (three or more regular attendees) is $125.

Who can join?

Anyone who lives in or does business in Hardin Valley: business owners and their staff, residents, HOAs, churches, schools and nonprofits.

Is HVBCA a chamber of commerce?

No. HVBCA is a volunteer-run alliance of Hardin Valley businesses and residents. It works alongside local government, schools and other groups, but it is not a chamber.
